Firstly, happy new year everyone! ♥
I spent my new years in Cumbria, waaaaay up north. It was only half way up to Cumbria, when one of the boys showed it to me on a map and i realised just how far it was. Luckily the new years hype was enough to keep us going, snacks, coffee stops, games, naps and a few hundred miles later we arrived in what could only be described as the middle of no where.
The house was beautiful and enchanting! I shocked myself when i discovered a small part of me that would love to live there. My favourite part of the house definitely has to be the fireplace. Super cute!
We were greeted with a delicious country feast of homemade pie which went down a treat after hours in the car! Whilst sat round the dinner table enjoying our civilised dinner, a less grown up proposal of a girls v boys challenge for the night was set.
Cups were lined up, drinks were poured and the games began. Beer pong, flip cup and heads up.
Sadly the girls lost beer pong but we were able to redeem ourselves in heads up…success!
The pictures of the night end here where we all got a little too merry and danced away as the clock strike 12….ooops!
The morning after with everyone feeling a little fragile, breakfast was served followed by a country side walk…
The boys got geared up and ready to go, cigar in hand, true countryman style.
The wind and rain was so strong we had to head back shortly after, but it was so beautiful if it was dry i could have walked it for miles.
So this is how i spent my new years. So much fun and such a great idea to do something different.
Hope you enjoyed the post guys
